A Million More expands nationally to achieve its objective of one million more flu shots over last year's total.

Each year support has expanded and now includes organizations representing more than 15,000 community pharmacies across America, which have joined forces in the movement to increase pharmacy-provided vaccines.
As the most accessible healthcare professional in America, community pharmacists are leading the charge in preventive health management, servicing more than 200 million patients every week.

The flu is a serious illness that is very contagious. According to the CDC, on average, 200,000 Americans are hospitalized each year because of flu complications. An annual flu shot is one important step towards protecting the health of our communities. However, only 46 percent of the American population receives the flu vaccine, leaving pharmacists with a great opportunity to increase this percentage.

The national flu shot campaign allows pharmacies to list all their ancillary services on www.AMillionMore.com. The site is promoted via social media, viral marketing, in-store promotions, and community-based elements which aid pharmacists in promoting immunizations to their community.
