More Seasoned Trading Experts to be added to Westland Commodities' UK Trading and Sales Team
Westland Commodities, one of the fast growing commodity firms with global trading operations, has announced today that it has added two important hires to lead its UK-based institutional team.
- (1888PressRelease) November 14, 2012 - The new hires are expected to maintain Westland Commodities' assertive business development and growth program that commenced in the first quarter of year 2011. The newly created role as head of the UK-based institutional business and consultant relationships was given to Mr. Charles Lloyd.
Recently, Westland Commodities also hired two exceptional talents: Mr. Michael Holmes as a Director for US-based institutional business development and Mr. Harley Brown as Consultant Relationship Analyst. The two were both assigned in London. Further additions to the newly formed team will be introduced in the coming months.

Mr. Michael Holmes will focus on the wide-range UK-based institutional investors, including local and corporate authority pension plans, charitable institutions, insurance firms and University endowment funds. Michael Holmes is licensed and qualified chartered accountant and has nearly two decades of experience in commodity trading and investment industry. Prior to joining Westland Commodities, Mr. Michael Holmes has worked in business development for an asset management company for five years. He held several managerial and leadership positions in the financial and investment industries.
Furthermore, Mr. Harley Brown will provide direct support for global consultant relationships and is given the responsibility for a handful of UK local consultants. Most recently, he spent four years as executive director of institutional sales team in one of the local banks in London. Harley Brown also worked for the Asset Management Division of Credit Suisse for three years, focusing on the marketing communication strategy and supporting the UK institutional business.
