Moose Pix for A.C.T.: Theater Career Life Stories in 2 Minutes; Will Document Live Event
Even famous actresses' stories benefit from compact video retrospectives. Flying Moose Pictures produces probing interviews that support and illustrate why ACT is honoring them.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) January 20, 2012 - San Francisco's nationally-recognized repertory company, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), is holding its first annual Conservatory Awards Luncheon, January 24. Flying Moose Pictures (Moose Pix dot com) will produce video storytelling components for the live event. The Moose have just returned from Los Angeles, interviewing and shooting the back stories of award recipients and actresses, Rising Star winner Elizabeth Banks and the venerable Annette Bening, the Edward Hastings Career Achievement Award recipient. Moose will also document the live awards event.
"Annette Bening is a gracious and genuine person," stated Mark Leialoha, Moose Pix partner, "This translates directly to the her artistry on stage and film. She gave us a generous 45 minute, in-depth interview discussing her training at A.C.T., what makes for truthful acting, and the advantage of learning on-stage dexterity as preparation for her film career. Our real craft comes in conducting a probing interview that elicited the responses we needed to create a compelling, three-minute video.
Partner Jonathan Luskin continued, "Conservatory graduate Elizabeth Banks will receive her Rising Star award for her work on diverse TV and film projects as '30 Rock', 'W.', 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno'. She shared that A.C.T. gave her a toolkit of techniques and the confidence to survive in Hollywood," Luskin added, "We also interviewed recipients including Dino Dinovitz, Executive Director, Hearst Foundations who gave us straight talk on non-profits, and personal stories from philanthropist and 40-year A.C.T. supporter Frannie Fleishhacker."
The awards luncheon will take place at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, January 24th.
