Class dates for 2012 are all Saturdays; March 24th, June 16th and October 6th. The first class is all about why "Everything Tastes Better with Bacon" and will be held at Montrio on Saturday, March 24th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Did you know? Bacon is a sacred institution, and each year the average American eats nearly 18 pounds of the delectable meat. Unfortunately, much of the bacon we consume is fatty, injected with phosphates and mass-produced by large corporations that ignore sustainable practices. As one of California's top culinary minds, Chef Baker sets an example by sourcing and serving the finest quality, delicious, responsibly sourced ingredients.
Baker's Bacon is no exception. Chef Baker has realized his dream of providing Americans with small-batch, artisanal, dry-cured, sustainably sourced bacon made in the English style. Baker will share the secrets of great tasting bacon and prepare a special menu with different cuts of pork. You'll enjoy a four-course lunch and sample beers paired with each course. There will also be a 45 minute demo by Chef Baker and a
Q & A session as part of this class.
Each class is $45 plus tax and gratuity. The first class includes a 'Baker's Bacon' sampler pack to take home. Reservations are required. Call (831) 648-8881. Space for the first two classes is limited to 30 attendees. For more information on Montrio or to sign up for our mailing list call (831) 648-8880.
