MonthlyArtContest.com is set to debut this week
New art site promises exposure, recognition, and cash prizes on a regular monthly basis.

The organizers of the site saw a need to offer a regular sustained contest for artists and have stepped up to answer the need. MonthlyArtContest.com will be operational shortly and will provide artists a regular online gallery that will provide links to the artist's contact information and links to their individual websites. In addition, the monthly competitions will be juried by leaders in the art world and cash prizes will be awarded. In addition to first, second and third place awards, a group of honorable mentions will also be chosen each month. The winners and the honorable mentions will be highlighted on the site for a number of months. The overall winner each month will be awarded a top prize of $250 and will receive a press release announcing their accomplishment. Second and third place winners will receive $100 and $50 respectively. The entry fee for each month will be $25 for the first piece and $10 per piece additional up to a total of 4 pieces.
Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to participate as the organizers of the site will be issuing regular press releases and undertaking an aggressive social networking campaign to drive people to the site.
