Montgomery Mall and North Penn Community Network Present "Rhythm and Arts Summer Concert Series"
Local Performers Feature Their Talents Weekly at the Montgomery Mall this Summer.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - The Montgomery Mall and the North Penn Community Network have partnered to host a "Rhythm and Arts Summer Concert Series" at the Montgomery Mall in North Wales, Pa. Beginning July 9, 2010, some of the area's top musicians, musical groups, area students and aspiring musicians will be on-hand at the mall to showcase their talents for the local community.
In addition to each week's headlining act, there will be various musical groups performing simultaneously throughout the mall. Musical acts can be heard in the Sears Court, Macy's Court and Dick's Sporting Goods Court every Friday night in July and August between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
"We are thrilled to host the second annual Rhythm and Arts Summer Concert Series and showcase the great talents of our North Penn community," said Kirsten Boettcher, Montgomery Mall Marketing Manager. "At the Montgomery Mall, we are dedicated to supporting the growth of our community and its performing arts and creating a unique, family-friendly experience for our shoppers."
The Summer Concert Series kicks off with SIORA, a contemporary world jazz ensemble that plays a blend of music from Latin/South America, Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S. including American jazz and popular music, all with their own unique arrangements and original compositions.
Other headlining acts to be featured at the mall this summer include:
-Elite Strings, an orchestra comprised of both area students and professional musicians that plays classical, Jazz, Latin, and Middle Eastern music - Friday, July 16
-Latin American flutist Nicholas Real - Friday, July 23
-Country pop artist Renee Wilson - Friday July 30
-Acoustic rock duo Cozmophonix - Friday, August 6
-Six piece blues band Slim Bob and the New Electrics - Friday, August 13
-Rock N Roll After School, a musical group featuring young musicians from 8 - 18 who play a range of instruments including guitar, bass, drums and piano - Friday, August 20
