Greek born, Jerry Stefanitsis is a 30 year restaurateur who transformed the landmark Arthurs Landing into a glamorous seaside Mediterranean. Molos boasts an airy, modern dining room, an open kitchen, a raw bar and seafood counter and an extraordinary event space that can be transformed for every special occasion and recalls the breezy, sun-drenched Greek isles. Molos offers a second floor private dining room, which overlooks the Hudson River, and is available for all catering needs.
The guiding force behind Molos menu is Chef Athanasios Liavas who is certified as an executive chef by the New Zealand Culinary Federation was trained in Greece and worked for many years on Yachts as a private chef to many notables including Richard Gere, Tina Turner, Cher, established Greek singers, Mr.Samonias (shipping tycoon, Giorgos Papandreaou (former prime minister of Greece). The menu offers delectable dishes including Tiger Prawns, Lobsters, Lavraki (Mediterranean sea bass), Fagri, Black Sea Bass, Red Snapper, East and West Coast Oysters, and a Molos favorite, Filet Mignon.
Daughter Eliana affirms that most important to her is the sense of pride she experiences daily through Molos. "It gives us a sense of pride to show what Greeks have to offer to the rest of the world. We have products directly from Greece on our table, like our extra virgin Greek olive oil ... every little detail makes us prouder and prouder of where we're from and what we have to offer," she has said.
