(1888PressRelease) July 27, 2011 - This two day celebration was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Tmt. S Gokula Indira, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu in the presence of Alhaj. Dr S M Hamid Abdul Quadir, Chairman, Mohamed Sathak Trust, Chennai, Alhaj. S M Kabeer, Secretary, Mohamed Sathak Trust, Chennai, Alhaj. S M Yousuf, Correspondent, Mohamed Sathak Matric & Higher Secondary School Executive Director, Mohamed Sathak Trust, Mrs. Inbarani Jebasingh, Principal, Mohamed Sathak Matriculation & Higher Secondary School, Arumbakkam and various officials from the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Commenting on the occasion, Tmt. S Gokula Indira, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu, said, "I would like to thank the Mohamed Sathak Trust for giving me an opportunity to inaugurate this annual day programme. I wish the Mohamed Sathak Trust, Parents and Students all the very best and would like to attend the next year function as one of the participants and am proud to be a part of this family."

She also complimented the management, teachers and student of the school for achieving good results in academics and extracurricular activities.

The main highlight of the annual day celebration was a colourful cultural programme presented by students of the school. During the function, the Chief Guest and the audience were enthralled by many cultural programmes like Bharathnatiyam, 1960's Kollywood dance, Kaikotti Kali, extract from the great Indian epic Ramayana, dance programme (Chinese, Egyptian, Island, Tribal, Arabic and Italian) instrumental play and fire programme.
