Modern Modular Wins Green Building Prefab Design Award for Epoch Homes

(1888PressRelease) October 23, 2012 - PEMBROKE, NH. - Epoch Homes, a leading manufacturer of fully custom designed modular homes took first place for Green Building at the annual BSC Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Home Design program. The Building Systems Councils (BSC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) presented the award for the best green system built home at their annual Showcase event in Washington D.C. Epoch also won first place for Excellence in Design- Modular Homes 3.001-4,000 sq. ft in this year's awards.

The award winning home was certified under ICC-700 National Green Building Standard at the Emerald level, which is the highest rating level. This home was also the first modular home to achieve the Emerald level in NY State. Epoch Homes has been involved in Green Building for over 15 years, and is the only Green Approved modular factory in the US. This home was built for Modern Cottage of Hudson, NY and is located in Ancram, NY in the Hudson Valley. The initial design was by the architectural firm Turkel Design.
