Mobile hotspot available from Swisscom
The Unlimited Hotspot is now available from Swisscom. This handy modem allows up to five WLAN-enabled handsets to access the Internet at the same time.
- (1888PressRelease) June 13, 2011 - The device is equipped with all the usual mobile technologies such as HSPA, UMTS and WLAN and, depending on the subscription, allows mobile working and surfing at a speed of up to 21 Mbps. The Unlimited Hotspot costs CHF 149 with a NATEL data day subscription, or CHF 249 without.
Whether staying in your holiday home, out camping or at a club meeting, the Unlimited Hotspot MF60 allows you to connect to the Internet everywhere. Up to five WLAN-enabled devices, such as laptops, smartphones or tablets, can access the mobile modem, allowing you to surf the Internet anywhere and at any time, independently of fixed hotspots. There is no complicated installation involved: simply switch on the modem, enter the password on the device you want to use and you are connected automatically.
To set up an Internet connection with the hotspot, which weighs only 75 grams, you need a SIM card and a NATEL data subscription as well as the modem. The modem also has space for a Micro SD memory card. All devices connected to the hotspot are able to access any data stored on it. A 2 GB memory card is included.
Mobile working and surfing at speeds of up to 21 Mbps
The mobile hotspot supports all the usual mobile technologies such as HSPA, UMTS and WLAN. Depending on the subscription type, it allows speeds of up to 21 Mbps and optimum reception right across Switzerland, thanks to Swisscom's comprehensive mobile broadband network.
The Unlimited Hotspot MF60 is available immediately from all Swisscom Shops and the Swisscom Online Shop at www.swisscom.ch/onlineshop for CHF 149 with a NATEL data day subscription. Without the subscription, it costs CHF 249.
