Mobile Community Action Agency and Cumulus Radio Partners with Rodney Hudson for Big Hud's First Annual Turkey Giveaway
Rodney Hudson of The Kansas City Chiefs Partners with Local Agencies to Feed 500 Families for Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Mobile, AL (1888PressRelease) November 14, 2011 - Kansas City Chief's Offensive Lineman Rodney Hudson has partnered with Mobile Community Action Agency and Cumulus Radio. to help begin the holiday season by giving thanks and sharing with the local community by hosting his first Turkey Giveaway. Big Hud's 1st Annual Turkey Giveaway will be held in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama on November 19 from 11am - 2pm at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church located at 661 South Broad Street. Hudson will donate 500 Thanksgiving turkeys to families. The families will be preselected by various local community agencies including Mobile Community Action Agency and Cumulus Radio.
Hudson was a standout football player at B.C. Rain High School in Mobile, where he was a two-way lineman. He is now enjoying an NFL career after playing college football for Florida State University where he received a degree in Recreation and Leisure. He was the Seminoles first unanimous first-team All-American since T Alex Barron in 2004. "Big Hud" joined Kansas City as its second-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Hudson will be joined by several community leaders ,friends & family as they bring holiday cheer to his hometown community. He welcomes other volunteers to come out and help give away meals.
