National Small Business Alliance, (NSBA) an organization that "Helps Small Businesses Succeed", cites a new report recently published by the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) finding that small businesses are saving a significant amount of time and money by using mobile applications. The study, "Saving Time and Money with Mobile Apps: A Small Business 'App'ortunity" looks at productivity in mobile technologies and why small businesses are using mobile apps to help promote their company.

Chase Card's survey indicates that small business owners estimate that they save an average of 5.6 hours weekly and on average, 11.33 hours weekly for their employees. The mobile app is also reducing overhead costs, increasing revenues and sales-related activity, improving competitiveness, and productivity. It helps compress functions while allowing entrepreneurs and their employees conduct and complete tasks on the go. As indicated in the study, small businesses overwhelmingly view the internet as their "most valuable business tool" and therefore firms are significantly increasing usage.
