MLBBlogBuzz.com Adds Toolbar and 2011 Power Rankings
MLBBlogBuzz.com, a Major League Baseball blog aggregation site, provides 2011 Power Rankings along with a downloadable toolbar and widget for participating blogs.
- (1888PressRelease) February 03, 2011 - Looking to increase reader experience in the new year, MLBBlogBuzz.com, a baseball blog aggregation site, has provided Power Rankings for the 2011 regular season and added a downloadable toolbar for all of the blogs participating on the site.
"We're excited about adding these new features to the site, "says Kevin Hirata, co-founder of MLBBlogBuzz.com. The 2011 power rankings was created out of the collaborative effort of 19 participating blogs, who rated all MLB teams for the upcoming season. "We believe this is one of the most in-depth rankings because it is a combination of insights from nearly 20 experts."
Each team has received an overall ranking, as well as the highest and lowest any team was ranked. According to the blog members' submissions, the Philadelphia Phillies top the rankings after the off-season acquisition of starting pitcher Cliff Lee. The Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, and 2010 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants follow respectively.
The blog site has also added a downloadable toolbar and sidebar widget for the MLB Blog Buzz members. This toolbar and widget grant easy access to information on the site, including recent news, MLB rumors, fantasy baseball updates, and a link to the fan forum. The applications also include a headline that showcases blogs who have uploaded the toolbar onto their site. "This not only provides participating blogs the ability to conveniently search through the latest information, but also gives sites exposure to audiences they might not have previously reached," explains Hirata.
With the beginning of pre-season nearly 2 months away, MLB Blog Buzz looks to add a few more features. "We've upgraded our server to make sure these applications run smoothly, but we're hoping to add a few more before the season starts, such as a fantasy baseball draft guide," says the co-founder.
