Mission San Antonio de Padua Annual Fiesta, June 12, 2016
Historic Mission San Antonio is holding its annual Fiesta on Sunday June 12th. The Fiesta was originally held in the mid-1800s and the tradition continues today. Come early, at 11:00 AM, for the Catholic Mass in honor of the Mission's patron saint, St. Anthony de Padua.
- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) May 26, 2016 - The Fiesta is from Noon until 4:00 PM. Admission and parking are free. The Fiesta will be a fun-filled day for all! There will be a traditional oak-fired BBQ ($12/meal) with a choice of top sirloin or chicken (includes salad, beans & roll). Homemade desserts, beer, wine, soft drinks, and snow cones will be available for purchase.
The fiesta grounds have been upgraded with new shade covers over the dining area. For a nominal charge docent led tours of the historic Mission will be provided. Visit with local artisans whose wares will be on display in the Padres Garden. There will be dancing to live music, provided by Los Missioneros and Little Creek, and children will have a great time winning prizes at the game booths. This event is a Mission fundraiser - please no personal coolers permitted.
Mission San Antonio is surrounded by Fort Hunter Liggett, and is conveniently reached by publicly accessible roads. The Mission is located at 1 Mission Road in Jolon, in southern Monterey County.
