  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2013 - Mission 50 Workspaces in Hoboken, Hudson County's premier coworking community, has granted a free, six-month residency to Paula Aguirre, founder of Motivo Design Studio, a graphic design startup. As part of its extensive community outreach program, Mission 50 partners regularly with Jersey City-based non-profit Rising Tide Capital (RTC), which supports women, minorities, immigrants and other marginalized populations in their efforts to start and grow successful businesses. Aguirre is a graduate of Rising Tide Capital's 12-week Community Business Academy (CBA).

Each year, Mission 50 grants this free residency to CBA graduates like Aguirre who demonstrate both a financial need and ability to maximize the resources Mission 50 offers. When Aguirre graduated from the CBA in June, she had an international clientele and five employees, but lacked office space for her growing company. At Mission 50, Aguirre will have access to its communal working areas and complete business support services as well as conference room space.

Since its launch in September 2011, Mission 50 has become Northern New Jersey's leading coworking environment. Designed to foster productivity and collaboration, it is a second home to entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses alike.

"Working from home had many limitations which made it difficult to interact with clients. The Mission 50 coworking space will allow me to meet with my clients and potential partners in a much more professional environment. Now I can take pride in the space where I conduct my meetings and have the opportunity to make countless new business connections," said Aguirre, who resides in West New York, N.J.

Aguirre's firm provides graphic and web design services including brand development and strategy. She graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor's degree in design and has more than 11 year of experience in the area of brand strategy and graphic design.

"Paula will fit right into our community here," said Greg Dell'Aquila, co-founder and president of Mission 50. "Mission 50 offers an ideal environment for her to build Motivo without the limitations of working from home and the hefty costs associated with securing office space in today's marketplace. I am pleased to provide this residency to such a deserving entrepreneur from Rising Tide Capital."

"Rising Tide Capital is only as strong as the partners who help us provide much-needed support services for our high-potential entrepreneurs," said Jay Savulich, managing director of programs. "Over the next six months, this residency will play an integral role in the growth of Paula's business, in both tangible and intangible ways. We are so grateful for all of Mission 50's support of our mission and our entrepreneurs."

Located in the penthouse of the Hoboken Business Center, Mission 50 provides its members with affordable, flexible office space including private offices, communal workspaces and more. No capital investment is required. Business services support everything from Internet connectivity, phone, mail, 24/7 access, and conference rooms to printing, copying, scanning and faxing capabilities and soundproof phone booths. From techies and creatives to financial specialists and lawyers, Mission 50 is a place where brilliant minds get productive and stay inspired, often collaborating and building innovative products.
