In early April 2012, MIRA TELECOM participated at the 2012 PROTCIV Scientific Session, held at the National Training Center for the Management of Emergency in Ciolpani, Ilfov.
- (1888PressRelease) June 25, 2012 - The theme, "Civil protection, fire protection and emergency management", was divided into two sections: „Training in emergency management" and „Emergency management". In the event program, more than 30 scientific papers were found.
MIRA TELECOM has presented three projects supported by Gabriel Ionescu and two other company representatives.
During SafeCity project presentation, Gabriel Ionescu argued the need for public safety systems become more connected, more efficient, more intelligent in the context of exponential world population growth in urban areas (by 2050 ¾ of the world population will live in urban areas). These are, in fact, the basic requirements of the Safe City project, at whose implementation MIRA TELECOM participates with 14 other representatives of the consortium. Implementing the project will result in improvement of public safety through better integration with Internet infrastructure within cities. Bucharest was selected with five other cities (Madrid, Stockholm, Athens, Helsinki, Obidos) for the first phase of the project. More details here or on the official website of the project.
The second MIRA TELECOM presentation was supported by Madalin Ilie and called „The detector for victims under rubble DKL LifeGuard™". This device can be used by crews of police, the army and the research and rescue missions and also for security personnel. It can protect military during missions to search, detect hostages rebels, fugitives, above or below ground, water or under water, to locate victims of accidents in mines, caves. Thus it decreases the time for rescue operations and increasing the chances of survival for the victims.
The detector can determine if there are people in buildings affected by earthquake, fire, etc. before rescuers to start the mission, it can monitor an area or a building and it may also find people lost in the wilderness areas. More details here.
Another representative from MIRA TELECOM, together with the French side representative from Escape International, presented to the public and rescue specialists „The Escape Rescue Platform for Helicopter".
The platform (52 kg, 1.5 m and 3 m diameter) is designed to be able to carry 10 civilians and rescue team members (1,500 kg) and has a safety factor of 10. The whole system is compatible for any type of helicopter operations.
The Escape Rescue Platform for Helicopter can be used in rescue, recovery, transfer of persons or materials transport. More details about the rescue platform towed by helicopter-Escape here.
In the context of successful completion of several projects on emergency intervention, it must be noted that MIRA TELECOM has the ability to become a major player on this segment, as is already on the security market.
In this respect, the President of the company, Stelian Ilie, said: "People are and will always be the beneficiaries of our efforts to improve the quality of security technology. We always promote quality, efficiency, innovation for the people and to improve their safety".
As a traditional event, PROTCIV scientific session brought together once again this year, a large number of specialists from subordinate structures of IGSU, from educational institutions and other institutions with responsibilities or interests in emergency situations management.
MIRA TELECOM - a company with entirely Romanian capital, founded and directed by Stelian Ilie, president of the group - began its activity with the distribution of radio telecommunication equipment.
