Mira Telecom Has Completed The Deployment Of Research Project Co-financed By EU Funds
MIRA TELECOM SRL announces the completion of project deployment "Development of MIRA TELECOM's infrastructure and research capability in the field of integrated communications and security systems".
- (1888PressRelease) September 20, 2013 - Between May 10 th, 2011 - August 09 th, 2013, MIRA TELECOM SRL, based in Bucharest, 12 Doamna Ghica St., 2 District, has carried on the project "Development of MIRA TELECOM's infrastructure and research capability in the field of integrated communications and security systems", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, under the funding agreement concluded with the National Authority for Scientific Research, as an Intermediary Body.
The total value of the project was 7.997.390,84 lei, of wich 3.414.674,40 lei - non-reimbursable finnancial assistance.
The project was implemented in Joița Commune, Giurgiu County, during a period of 27 months.
The main objective of the project was the construction of the company's own research center, thus providing the necessary infrastructure to expand MIRA TELECOM's research-development activity. With a surface of about 720 sqm, ground and first floor, the construction of the building was raised on a plot of 9,000 sqm, MIRA TELECOM company's property, in Joița Commune, Giurgiu County.
The second major objective was to estabilish the Research-Development Department as a distinct organizational structure within the company, to develop and to equip it with high-tech laboratory equipment and software platforms. Currently, within the center, 4 new research labs are operational: electronics research, quantum physics research, plurydisciplinary research (electronics, biophysics, biochemestry), complex trial (trials performed under various climate conditions, electromagnetic and mechanical environments). Also, the software development lab was upgraded. All of the laboratories were equipped with hi-tech devices and equipment.
As a result of the project deployment, the following indicators were achieved: 80 installations, independent equipment and instruments for research, 63 IT and communication equipment items, 4 software licences.
One of the anticipated results following the project implementation will be the direct contribution to increasing the research capacity and the number of research specialists within the company. Until the end of the sustainability of the project (five years from the signing date of financing agreement), 22 new jobs within the Research-development Department will be created, of wich 18 in the field of research. Three scientific articles will be published in specialized communication and security publications, 3 independent research projects will be delivered by 2020 and 2 research works will be presented within international congresses or conferences.
