Minor League Baseball And Smile Doctors Team Up To Give Back
Minor League Baseball (MiLB) and Smile Doctors, the largest ortho-focused dental support organization (OSO) in the United States, have announced a multi-year partnership to highlight "Plays That Make Us Smile."
- (1888PressRelease) July 03, 2022 - Minor League Baseball (MiLB) and Smile Doctors, the largest ortho-focused dental support organization (OSO) in the United States, have announced a multi-year partnership to highlight "Plays That Make Us Smile." The initial 30 MiLB teams will have in-stadium activations, branded content, and a weekly "best of" highlight series.
Dr. Zach Casagrande is the founder of North Virginia Orthodontics (NVO), the Clinical Director of Invisalign for Smile Doctors, and is the Regional Operations Doctor for all Smile Doctors’ clinics in Virginia, Maryland, and the D.C. area. NVO and Dr. Casagrande are excited about the community outreach opportunities this partnership will have. This partnership will provide educational materials and complimentary consultations between innings, which will help those who do not have easy access to dental care or are uncomfortable going to the dentist feel more at ease and answer questions in a relaxed and family-friendly environment.
Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Dr. Casagrande. In 2018, he started the NVO foundation, a 501(c)(3), to fund various cancer causes in the D.C. area. The Ashburn location was the first dental office in the country to have a Cup for a Cure Starbucks café inside the office, where a dollar is donated to the 501(c)(3) for every free drink poured. If you have an appointment and bring a guest, each person gets a free drink resulting in a donated dollar each.
This people-first approach is what attracted Dr. Casagrande to an affiliation with Smile Doctors. After turning down other offers, Dr. Casagrande joined Smile Doctors after realizing that their culture matched that of NVO. This partnership with MiLB will further advance the aligned goal of reaching people and spreading orthodontic awareness.
