Minds Matter of Cleveland Host Inaugural Fundraising Gala at Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum
Cleveland non-profit, Minds Matter, hopes to raise awareness and funding for their academic programs and college tuition assistance for students of the organization in the Greater Cleveland area.
- Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH (1888PressRelease) September 06, 2013 - Area non-profit Minds Matter of Cleveland will be hosting its inaugural fundraising gala, Discovery Night, on Oct. 12, 2013, at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum in the University Circle.
Keeping with the theme of the evening (discovering Cleveland), guests of the evening will have the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the museum just before cocktails and dinner in the Crawford Rotunda, which overlooks more than 150 automobiles and airplanes collected throughout five decades of Cleveland history.
The evening will conclude with a silent and live auction with items donated by local businesses, hotels and airlines. Proceeds from the event will benefit Minds Matter programming to continue their efforts of helping students from low income families achieve academic excellence and gain admission to leading colleges. With a 100-percent success rate since the Cleveland chapter was founded in 2008, Minds Matter has helped improve the test scores, and increase average SAT scores by 350 points, of more than 200 students in the greater Cleveland area.
Tickets for the evening start at $200 and sponsorship is available at $3000 per table. Additionally, those unable to attend are welcome to donate. To purchase tickets or make a donation, please contact Minds Matter at MindsMatterofCleveland ( @ ) gmail dot com.
