Mikogo Provides Free Audio Conferencing Service with Online Meetings
A leading online meeting service, Mikogo has announced that it has begun providing free audio conferencing numbers to be used in conjunction with its screen sharing software. These numbers will come at no charge from Mikogo and will be readily available to 18 countries in its first instance.
- (1888PressRelease) July 25, 2012 - The global provider of the online meeting solution, Mikogo, has today released its new audio conferencing options with local landline numbers for an array of countries. By providing local numbers for their customer base, Mikogo adds a strong benefit to its online meeting feature set with free audio conference calls.
Rather than providing "premium call numbers" found in other audio conferencing services, Mikogo has opted in favor of local landline numbers for over a dozen countries. This decision will save money for the Mikogo user and make international conferencing even simpler. Now, instead of dialing out of the country or incurring long distance charges, session organizers can send their participants invitation emails including local fixed line numbers corresponding to their country. Participants need only dial the local number provided to them before being prompted for the Mikogo session ID to join the conference call.
By providing local numbers for international conference calls, the cost of voice conferencing is significantly lowered, with no extra charge from Mikogo. Any charge that may be incurred is solely at the discretion of the caller's phone carrier service. This means users will either be charged at only a local rate or nothing if they already have unlimited local calls with their carrier.
At the moment, Mikogo is able to provide landline numbers for 18 countries across 5 continents with an additional 21 countries scheduled to be added by the end of the year.
