The next 10 years are likely to usher in great innovations in transportation technology.
The Future of Transportation Technology Chats with Mike Tornabe
(1888PressRelease) July 08, 2016 - "In the next 10 years, transportation as you knows it will change dramatically to become more efficient, greener and safer." Mike Tornabe stated in a discussion about the future of transportation technologies. Current developments in the transport industry include driver less cars, magnetic trains, and even a hyperloop train that is said to have a speed of up to 800 miles an hour.
These innovations may not be in the public arena yet, but they should be making their debut in under ten years. Currently, the transportation department is working to figure out how they can be safely integrated into the system that is currently running. "This means that going to work, getting to a game or going away on vacation will take a shorter time than ever before", said Mike Tornabe.
Michael Tornabe is currently at the helm of Logan Bus Company, a private school bus operator with more than 2,000 contracted routes in the state of New York. The vastly successful entrepreneur is a car lover who prefers being "under the bus" than being in it.
He loves working under the hood of a car and loves American muscle cars as well. He is an expert at bus maintenance and his fleet of buses is always in great condition.
Some of the new generation transport technologies that Tornabe believes will actually happen include the hyperloop, which will only take half an hour to get you from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The hyperloop will be quieter, faster and cheaper than anything we have seen so far.
The Maglev train is another innovation that should be up and running in less than ten years. Maglev stands for "Magnetic levitation". These trains are already working in both Japan and China, and South Korea is building one of their own. At speeds of 310 miles an hour, this train will get you wherever you need to be in record time.
Autonomous cars are already on the roads. This is innovation led by Google and so far things are looking up. The car does the driving while you sit back and relax. You don't have to fear that you will miss your exit since it can look for the exit ramp. It changes speeds depending on the need, can make sudden stops and also detect buildings. In some states, the legislation to make them legal on the roads have already been passed, while in others, the laws are being created. You can also be sure that smart cars and urban pods will be on our roads soon.
