Hagerty has a history in the area. He lived in Ithaca while he managed the Autoworks Parts Store on Wright Avenue in Alma in 80's. "I have always been very fond of this area and am very excited to open our newest office here", Hagerty said. "We will specialize in working with the area farmers and small business owners, getting them approved for USDA renewable energy grants." They received the first Michigan USDA REAP grant for a Jeddo, MI dairy farmer back in 2009.
MSS plans to have monthly seminars at the new office, with a focus on USDA renewable energy grants and working with those interested to get them approved. Troy Bracke, the Mid Michigan Operations Manager, is also excited about the company's expansion.
