The event will honor Gladys Cabrera, a victim who was tragically killed in the shooting that occurred on October 18, 2012 at the Las Dominicanas M&M Hair Salon in Casselberry.

The 1st annual I Am Gladys Cabrera (IAGC) walk will be the foundation's main event for the year. Just under a mile, it will be a fun walk for friends and family. Following the walk there will be food vendors and live entertainment. The goal of the event is to help educate the community and give victims of domestic violence the confidence and information they need to ask for help. IAGC wants victims of domestic violence to realize they are not only putting themselves in danger but everyone around them. The I Am Gladys Cabrera Foundation encourages victims to take strides towards getting help to stop the cycle of abuse.
