Michael T. Gibson, P.A. Hosts 1st Annual Scholar Athlete Banquet at the Dubsdread Golf Course
The Michael T. Gibson Scholar Athlete of the Month program recognizes Central Florida's top high school seniors who have excelled in academics, athletics and are actively involved in their community.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) May 19, 2012 - Michael T. Gibson, P.A. will host its 1st Annual Scholar Athlete Banquet on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Dubsdread Golf Course in the Fairview Room, located at 549 West Par Street, Orlando, FL 32804.
"We are thrilled to host our first annual Scholar Athlete Banquet that recognizes the top high school seniors in Central Florida for their achievements in the classroom, on the field and in their community." said attorney Michael T. Gibson. "This is an event we plan on hosting annually."
Super Bowl champion and UCF football great, Darcy Johnson will serve as the keynote speaker at the banquet. Student athletes Jordan Garcia of New Dimensions High School, Johanna Jimenez of Oakridge High School and Rachel Mcleod of Haggerty High School will each receive a $2,000 scholarship check at the banquet. These individuals have maintained stellar grades, excelled in athletics and strengthened their communities through volunteer work and community service.
The Scholar Athlete program highlights the achievements of one male and one female student athlete each month. The nominees' names and accomplishments were announced on WPYO Power 95.3 FM during the months of March and April. This year, three students were selected for the scholarship, due to their exemplary qualifications. At the end of the school year, all winners will take part in the scholarship banquet and will each be awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
