Michael Croft and Hergen Spits to Give Keynote Presentations at the 12th Cytokines & Inflammation Conference, January 29-31, 2014 in San Diego, CA.
- (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2013 - Michael Croft and Hergen Spits will give keynote addresses at the 12th Cytokines & Inflammation Conference on January 29-31, 2014 in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Croft, a Professor and the Head of the Division of Immune Regulation at the La Jolla Institute, studies protein molecules that are members of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family, a group of proteins believed to play important roles in the ability of the immune system to guard the body against harmful microorganisms. He will present about "IL-17 Targeting at the Chronicity of Inflammatory Diseases" at the meeting.
Dr. Spits, who works at the Academic Medical Center at the University of Amsterdam, will share about "Human Innate lymphoid in Health and Disease." His current research focuses on the function of Th22 cells, lymphoid tissue inducer cells, and B cells in mucosal immunity.
The meeting will also feature presentations from other leaders in the cytokines field, including Linda Burkly from Biogen Idec, Thomas Hamilton at Cleveland Clinic, Joost Oppenheim from the NIH, and Jennifer Towne at Amgen. The conference is also a part of the Novel Immunotherapeutics Summit 2014, which include three parallel conference and will feature Nobel Laureate Jules Hoffmann and its plenary speaker.
