Michael Caruso Returns To New Orleans On 2nd Visit For 2010 Habitat For Humanity & REALTORS® Volunteer Build
Local small business owner does good for the Community. Michael Caruso doubles efforts for Habitat for Humanity by bringing wife Cristina to volunteer their time and build homes for Hurricane Katrina victims.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) November 06, 2010 - Michael Caruso, owner of Michael Caruso Real Estate Group and Realtor Associate Cristina Caruso headed to New Orleans this week to participate in the 2010 REALTORS® Volunteer Build with Habitat for Humanity, working to build decent and affordable housing sold to low income families at no profit and with no interest charged. This was his second visit.
Michael and Cristina Caruso will spend the week in New Orleans East constructing homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina and join hundreds of other REALTORS® to help restore communities and revitalize businesses by renovating and building homes. One of the homes was build for 26- year-old April Williams and her 7-year-old son.
This will be Michael's second visit, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in an emotional visit following Hurricane Katrina back in November 2006 as President of the Orange County Association of Realtors.
"Realtors care about our communities and many neighborhoods still need help more than 4 years later." stated Michael Caruso, "I was eager to participate again and am excited about the opportunity to rebuild homes for New Orleans' deserving families. This visit will give me the opportunity to give back, build relationships with volunteers and local residents, and learn more about issues critical to the real estate industry on a national level."
The trip coincides with the 2010 REALTORS® Conference and Expo. Michael Caruso is committed to partaking in continuing education classes, seminars and keeping abreast of the industry. During the meetings, Michael and Cristina Caruso will have the opportunity to attend seminars on the economy, public policy, equal opportunity and diversity, land use and property rights, the environment, international real estate and housing opportunities. The conference provided hundreds of professional education sessions as well as the insights of local and national government and political leaders.
Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people from all walks of life to build simple, decent and affordable housing. The houses then are sold to low income families at no profit and with no interest charged.
