Miami's Business Community to Support "Big Mama's" Thanksgiving Food Drive
A charitable event that raised more than 1,500 lbs. of food last year looks to surpass that goal for a South Florida charity this Thanksgiving.
- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2011 - More than a handful of South Florida businesses will join forces to host the 4th annual "Pay it Forward" Charity Food Drive, an event aimed at helping Big Mama and her Team of Life Inc. feed hundreds of families this Thanksgiving. The event will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 6 to 11p at the Catch Bar & Grill at Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay on 1633 N. Bayshore Drive in Miami. Non-perishable foods, canned goods and gift cards will be accepted. Big Mama herself will be at the event.
This will mark the second year that "Pay it Forward" has teamed up with Big Mama. Last year, more than 1,500 pounds of food was collected. This year, guests can also enjoy a live musical performance by Karina Iglesias, prize giveaways, reduced valet and select cocktail & food specials. The event hosts are: Creative Healthcare Marketing, Strictly Business Networking Group, Team of Life, Rod Pratt presents, BPS Live Inc., Y.R. Public Relations and Macy's.
About "Pay it Forward" Charity Food Drive:
"Pay it Forward" is a collaboratively hosted charitable event aimed at giving back to South Florida's needy families. Since 2008, food drives have been held throughout Miami-Dade, benefiting non-profit organizations such as Farm Share Inc. and Big Mama's Team of Life, Inc.
