Governor Rick Scott, and a small group of mayors and other community leaders, including State Senator Rene Garcia, County Commissioner Esteban Bovo and mayor of the Town of Miami Lakes Micheal Pizzi gathered to review the Governor's proposals for the state to assist our cities.

"Consistent with our Miami Lakes vision, I encouraged the Governor to maintain low taxes and streamline state bureaucracy to allow both cities and local businesses to manage their own affairs and get the people's business done more efficiently. The Governor stated he would set up additional meetings to follow through on these proposals and I invited him to come to Miami Lakes for future meetings.
