- Prescott, AZ (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2011 - On May 11, 2011, MI Windows and Doors, one of America's leading window and door manufacturers, installed a new MI EnergyCore French Rail Patio Door into a Habitat for Humanity home being built in Chino Valley, Arizona.
The installation was performed by employees of MI Windows and Doors and is part of the total window package donated by the company to the deserving new homeowner. The homeowner received at total of seven HomeMaker II windows and is the first homeowner to ever receive a new MI EnergyCore French Rail Patio Door.
The MI EnergyCore French Rail Patio Door offers superior thermal performance and is built using MikronWood, a revolutionary new material that provides the beauty of wood with the weather-resistant, no-maintenance advantages of a composite. The patio door has a rich traditional design with mortise and tenon joinery, wide stiles, a tall bottom rail and designer hardware. By integrating the latest industry technology, our MI EnergyCore French Rail Patio Door has also achieved superior energy efficiency, low maintenance and smooth operation. The patio door was been designed in Prescott Valley, AZ and will be offered in the Western United States.
The standard offering will include MI's TMAX All Zone glass package, which offers the optimum balance between energy efficiency and natural color. With this glass package, the MI EnergyCore French Rail door will exceed Energy Star requirements for all zones.
"It is a priviledge to be able to assist in the construction of this new home. Knowing that we are installing energy-saving windows and this high quality patio door in this home enabling the homeowner to save money on their utility bills is gratifying," said Jim Laipple, the Product Manager for the new MI EnergyCore product line.
The Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity was established to help families living in unsafe or inadequate housing to become homeowners by providing zero-interest mortgages with no cash down. Building of the home becomes a team effort between Habitat for Humanity and the new homeowners as the families must also assist in the construction of their homes. The overall experience is unforgettable for the volunteers as they work with the new homeowners and for the new homeowners from the pride they have when they receive the keys to their new home.
"We are so pleased to partner once again with MI Windows and Doors for a deserving family in Chino Valley", said PAHH Executive Director Miriam Haubrich. "We are greateful that MI Windows and Doors has donated the windows and patio door to the project. Their dedication to helping us build homes and to the community is greatly appreciated. PAHH is always in need of volunteers and no construction background or skills are required. For more information contact Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity at (928) 445-8003."
