MHIMA to Offer Members Medical Coding Courses through Libman Education's Affiliate Program
Third AHIMA Component State Association this year to become Libman Education affiliate.
- (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2014 - BEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS - Michigan Health Information Management Association (MHIMA), a component state association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), has become an affiliate of Libman Education to provide members with online, self-paced medical coding training courses.
MHIMA is the third AHIMA state association this year to partner with Libman Education. Earlier this year, the Louisiana Health Information Management Association (LHIMA) and the Virginia Health Information Management Association (VHIMA) also partnered with Libman Education to provide coding courses to their members.
"The Michigan Health Information Management Association (MHIMA) looks forward to this partnership with Libman Education," said Sandra Huyck, President. "We feel this is a great opportunity for us to offer our members additional educational opportunities in a variety of different categories through various mediums.

Through the Libman Education partner program, MHIMA can offer members several ICD-10 training tools, including courses, assessments, and learning aids. Course topics include anatomy and physiology, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, ICD-10 for Post Acute Care, ICD-10 for Non-coders, and ICD-10 for Clinicians. In addition, the partner program offers credential exam preparation, home health coding courses, and HIPAA courses.
