Philanthropist and Entrepreneur, Richard Myles, Sr. founded the Minor Football League (MFL) in 1993 to serve youth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The MFL was established to provide a platform for athletic participation, training and skills development outside of the college or professional sports arena. “I’m humbled and honored by Her Excellency, Dr. Quao’s heart for the people of Africa and her passion to fostering greater understanding between Africa and America, socially and economically. Sports and Entertainment has always brought the world together in time of need and we are taking it to the next level. And that’s why I’m also excited about the Wakanda Village Exchange program, which will place 20 African born players on each of our US franchises. This is truly a game changer in player development as we will have the best to play the game, teaching these incredible, but NFL raw cadre of athletes.”

The AUM is the successor organization to the Organization of African Unity (OAU), with greater powers to promote African economic, social, and political integration, and a stronger commitment to democratic principles. “Wakanda Village is the hope of a united Africa and with the partnership with the MFL, we believe this will be the olive branch to the world.” H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao.

The Laboratory of Change is the brainchild of Melvin Forbes, CEO of Water Transit Solutions and Chief Development Officer for the MFL. “Richard has nurtured a rare oyster over the last 25 years. The MFL’s Laboratory of Change is the ideal contained environment to develop the entire community. Over 70% of the NFL is African American. We will develop African born players. We recognizes many of our players will not make it to the NFL, but we do know that 100% of them need and more importantly, will be developed for life after the game. It also opens the doorway for diversity and inclusion for women. Our health is our wealth and we are proud to partner with Pro-IV, which is spearheading our health strategy. We don’t believe in experimenting, when it comes to our players and Pro-IV has the only insured solutions to date, for opioids and concussive injury treatments.”

Pro-IV founders also include NFL Hall of Famers Brett Favre and Deion Sanders, Former NFL All-Pro Michael Vick, NBA Legends Dale Davis, Former NFL General Manager Ray Farmer along with some of the world’s most accomplished physicians and scientists. “In
retirement, I’m competing in triathlons! Pro-IV has been restoration and rejuvenation for me at THIS stage of my life,” says Brett Favre.
