Mexican Film Festival Association Takes Historic Step
The 2013 Mexican Film Festival Association known as RED MEXICANA DE FESTIVALES CINEMATOGRAFICOS, held it's annual meeting and elected a strong board while at the same time made bold commitments for the next 12 months.
- (1888PressRelease) April 23, 2013 - RED MEXICANA DE FESTIVALES CINEMATOGRAFICOS, held it's annual meeting in the historic city of Oaxaca de Juarez in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca last weekend. With Oaxaca FilmFest as the host Festival the association focused their energies on ensuring that the Mexican Festival Circuit continue to maintain it's position as a major country on the global cinema festival stage.
While in session the association elected to the board:
Inti Cordera (DOCSDF)
Ulises Santamaría (CUTOUTFEST)
Iván Contreras (FESTIVAL DE CINE Y VIDEO INDÍGENA DE PUEBLA)
JoseAntonio Elo (FESTIVAL COLIMA DE CINE)
With nearly 30 Festivals represented including The Guadalajara International Film Festival and The Morelia International Film Festival two of the most significant Film Festivals in the world today the Mexican Film Festival Association established a very strong agenda for the upcoming year. Including a cohesive festival schedule, a unified brand, and solid festival collaboration.
Next year the event will be held in San Luis Potosí during the last week in April and be hosted by 2 Festivals RODANDO FILM FEST and FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DE SAN LUIS POTOSÍ.
