Mesob Ethiopian Restaurant Adds Dairy-free Valentine Chocolates to Dessert Menu
Montclair, NJ restaurant is proud to announce the addition of the Mesob Valentine Chocolate Collection, gourmet handmade dairy-free chocolates, filled with exotic Ethiopian spices, fruits and honey.
- (1888PressRelease) January 31, 2011 - Mesob Ethiopian Restaurant of Montclair, NJ is proud to announce the addition of a new chocolate, non-dairy dessert option to its line of premium, all-natural desserts - the Mesob Ethiopian Valentine Chocolate Collection. Debuting on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, the handmade gourmet chocolates are filled with a dairy-free dark chocolate ganache infused with a selection of exotic Ethiopian spices, fruits and honey. Available only during the month of February, the chocolates are Berbere, Guava-Ginger, Raspberry-Rosewater, and Tej (Ethiopian honey wine).
The chocolates are made by Chocolate Legends, owned by New Jersey artisanal chocolatier, Sherri Hiller. Hiller developed a successful vegan chocolate collection exclusively for Mesob last year, working with Berekti and Aki Mengistu, co-owners of Mesob Ethiopian Restaurant. With the restaurant's patrons asking for additional selections, Hiller says "I really enjoy working with the people at Mesob to come up with new and innovative chocolates that will enhance their customers' experience and are Ethiopian inspired."
Berekti Mengistu met Hiller, through Marketing Manager Vickie Smith-Siculiano, who was familiar with the unique offerings of Chocolate Legends. "It's exciting to have our own chocolate collection, with our Ethiopian spices and flavors," says Mengistu. "We are able to offer these exquisite dairy-free chocolates which fit in with the diets of many of our diners. The chocolates complement our menu of fresh, all-natural foods with no preservatives added. We listen to our customers and want to create the best experience for them."
Gift boxes of these chocolates will also be available at the restaurant, which has plans to further expand the varieties to include other authentic Ethiopian flavors.
