Mesic was born in Moscow, Russia. She graduated from the University of North Florida with the Highest Honors. Mesic received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year. She began her legal career in Ocala, Florida, as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit.
Mesic accepted a position with Joseph & Marees, in the City of Jacksonville, where she practiced primarily in the areas of Creditor's Rights and Judgment Enforcement. After leaving her position at Joseph & Marees, Mesic launched The Law Offices of Kate Mesic PA, allowing her to combine both her criminal trial and civil trial experience for the benefit of her clients.
Mesic serves on the executive boards of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association,the University of North Florida Pre-Law Board of Advisors, and is a Board Member of the Women Business Owners organization in the City of Jacksonville. Mesic is licensed to practice in the State of Florida and the Middle District of Florida and is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association.
