Merriam Webster Adds 370 New Words to the Dictionary for September 2022
Merriam Webster; a well-known and trusted entity in the field of lexicography adds 370 New Words to Dictionary for September 2022. Although English is a volatile language, which adds new words so frequently that it sums up to adding a word every 2 hours in a day. Nonetheless, here are newly added words in English.

A word qualifies for inclusion when it is often used in the same way for a sufficient amount of time. Here are some words from Merriam-Webster's most recent update.

This new update talks about Business and Technology, Virtual World, Natural World, Out of this world, Slang and Informal Language, Working, Banking and Money, Health and Healing, Just having fun, and the words from what We all have to eat.
This newly added section features the words: dumbphone (a cell phone that does not include advanced software features), video doorbell (a small security camera that is designed for use on an exterior door, that includes or connects to a doorbell,), microgrid (a small grid; especially: a local electrical grid)
It also adds words like metaverse, laggy, sponcon, dawn chorus, atmospheric river, free dive, space force, terraform, yeet, janky, cringe, gift economy, unbanked, altcoin, booster dose, hoglet, Galentine's Day, pumpkin spice, mojo, oat milk and many more.
Merriam-Webster added new words last year as well.
