Mercy for Earth is a non-profit organization founded and directed by Ignacio Barsottelli, a veteran of the environmental conservation movement.

With the participation of an Academy Award winner, Benicio del Toro, leading scientists, and educators, we will tell our compelling story in a visually innovative way that will explore our current crisis, the falling number of various animal species, and the sacrifices made by environmentalists. This story of our past, hidden tragedies and optimistic future lend themselves perfectly to the culmination of support for our proposal.
The topics addressed in the film are at times tragic, hopeful, sad, and reinvigorating. Using real life footage, animation, and the dramatization of intriguing characters, “Mercy for Earth” has an innovative approach. This organization will take the audience on a journey of emotions, from the admiration of nature, to the sadness of destruction, and the hope of a lasting solution. Our aim is to quell fear and provide hope and demonstrate that the end is not around the corner. Life on this this planet will continue in the form of our choosing and it is our responsibility to ensure earth remains the paradise we inherited. Whether we like it or not, we cannot avoid this fact, and it will be a long road, with no quick fixes. When one stops to consider what we’ve been given in return, our payment for this job, the gifts of comprehension, emotion, thought and expression, we should relish the opportunity to possess such an attainable and fulfilling purpose, starting with the request for and bestowing mercy.

Ignacio Barsottelli is aproducer, environmental educator and activist, businessman and philanthropist.
As an International Environmental Consultant, Ignacio has consulted for Forbes 500 companies such as Microsoft, Unilever, Wal-Mart, PepsiCo, Toyota Foundation, Univision, Kielh's, Johnson & Johnson and Merck Pharmaceuticals, Cemex, Heineken, Green Works and Authority Solid Waste, among others.
In Balotelli's environmentalist activist career, he can be distinguished for his creative environmental solutions, looking for different alternatives in government, industry and mainly in the education system under the slogan "There is no Protest, if there is not a Proposal."
He creates environmental education programs and activities that provide solutions for waste management, contamination and pollution, creating awareness and mobilizing the population in favor of better care of the environment. He works with thousands of volunteers, cleaning contaminated areas and implementing conservation plans for these zones.
Barsotelli has produced and designed TV series, PSAs and publicity campaigns that educate the community about their responsibilities and obligations with nature. With the support of over twenty celebrities, including Oscar and Grammy winners he has created strategic media campaigns across 12 countries in Latin America.
He has received the Environmental Quality Award from the Environmental Protection Agency for the cleaning of a clandestine dump-site river in Puerto Rico. This clean-up involved 20 months of work, removing more than 500 junk cars and over 2,000 tons of garbage. It was declared a Natural Reserve.
Now more committed than ever to achieve his objective, heis producing a documentary film along with a team that has over 30 years of experience in the field.The documentary has the support of leading scientists, politicians and educators.

Mercy for Earth is a non-profit organization founded and directed by Ignacio Barsottelli, a veteran of the environmental conservation movement.
In 1997, Ignacio Barsottelli founded the non-profit organization “YoLimpio a Puerto Rico” (I Clean Puerto Rico). The organization partnered with the Puerto Rican Department of Education to implement environmental education in schools and establish additional programs to educate the community about various conservation methods and initiatives that continue to influence the community today.
In 2002, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded YoLimpio a PR the prestigious Environmental Quality Award in recognition of Ignacio Barsotelli’sservice as a tireless advocate for environmental conservation and motivator of change.
The YoLimpio a Puerto Rico programs have achieved amazing success on the island making YLPR the most active and educational organization in the Caribbean. Thanks to this success, in 2006 a new chapter began in other countries under “YoLimpio America” (Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic and Unites States).
These projects have always had the unwavering support of celebrities, including Oscar & Grammy winners, who have acted as spokespeople for education campaigns, together with the support of several organizations, companies, leading scientific, and educational experts.
