Melbourne Plastic Surgeon Castellon Attends 81st Annual Scientific Meeting in New Orleans
Melbourne based plastic surgeon, Mauricio Castellon of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center was one of 4,500 attendees of Plastic Surgery The Meeting in New Orleans from October 26-30.

Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The event was attended by more than 4,500 doctors, medical personnel and exhibitors in the field of plastic surgery. Highlights of the conference were:
• An opening keynote address by famed political consultant and New Orleans native, James Carville
• Five breast reconstruction patients were honored for courage
• An exhibit hall with over 300 companies showcasing products and advances in cosmetic and plastic surgery.
• A special performance by award-winning musician Jewel, who performed her song 'Flower', in honor of breast reconstruction patients

The American Society is the largest organization of board-certified plastic surgeons in the world.

Mauricio Castellon is a board-certified plastic surgeon, who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. His training includes general, plastic and reconstructive surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York. His undergraduate study was at the University of Florida and he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Ponce School of Medicine. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
He was invited to be a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons in 2004.
