Program Provides Medical Record Alerts For EMS In Case Of Emergency.

KIDBase is a program developed in 1999 by the N.C. State Office of Emergency Medical Services for Children. KIDBase allows parents of children with bleeding disorders and other chronic medical conditions to register their medical information with local EMS agencies in case of future emergencies. Upon introduction into the program, a medical information sheet is created for the child containing data on his or her name, address, medical diagnosis, baseline information, current medications and any emergency medical plans that may already be in place.
