The contest, which the Company co-sponsors with local radio station KOOL 105.5, honors exceptional local nurses. The contest is promoted on the "Mo and Sally Show" and nominations are open to the public via the station's website.

The latest Nurse of the Month winner is Cheryl Wallin, RN. The person who nominated her said, "When I think about a nurse, I think it must be someone who cares about others and the community more than themselves. I think it is someone who works and gives tirelessly sometimes without recognition and praise from anyone, but carries on with vigor and gleam. Going the extra mile to make sure it's all going to be right. Then the desire to be more-to learn more so that she can be more effective at her job. I know such a nurse her name is Cheryl Wallin. She has been a nurse for 30 Years. She has worked in Palm Beach County and for the state for 28 years. She is now a Nursing supervisor with over 13 nurses in her charge.

"She helped establish a medical project with TuJJe Ministries in Uganda where she started a permanent clinic in a small village and supervises its operation. She has treated measles, malaria and other tropical diseases in Africa. She founded the Community Healthcare project that provides mosquito nets and general health care in 3 villages in Uganda; one is a leper colony. Her childhood dream was to be a nurse and help people in Africa. Now this dream has come true. She is studying for her PhD. As for her nursing position, she loves the interaction with patients and especially children."
