Cannapages.com and Herbal Synergy LLC announced plans to roll out new quality control solutions to test medical marijuana for medicinal cannabinoid content, as well as mildew, mold, bugs, and other harmful agents. The two companies will also help patients identify and inspect the cannabis they purchase at dispensaries.

Representatives from both Denver-based companies reported that Herbal Synergy's gas-chromatography-powered tests will be incorporated into Cannapages' reviews, certification process and quality-control services. The venture is focused on improving product quality, and ensuring patient satisfaction and education.
Combining Cannapages' well-earned technological authority within the Medical Marijuana industry, and Herbal Synergy's unique mobile-testing capabilities, the two companies will now guarantee availability and quicker turnaround for quality control tests. These tests measure active cannabinoids with beneficial medicinal properties (such as THC and CBD) but also check for for mildew, mold, and other harmful substances. Marketing resources, such as certification, graphics, photography and branding, will be offered in additional packages.
Cannapages.com began as a Medical Marijuana business directory and market-research group, and has transformed into the tech leader of Colorado's cannabis industry, providing websites, graphics, content, and compliance solutions for both dispensaries, activist groups, and their commercial organizations. Ben Fuller, the company's chief technology officer, said "We're committed to providing both dispensaries and patients the services they can't get anywhere else. Like all of Cannapages' solutions, Fuller said that Herbal Synergy's tests will be offered at discount to strategic partner organizations like the National Cannabis Industry Association and the Medical Marijuana Industry Group. In addition, the discounts will be available to financial supporters of MMJ activists and non-profits like MMAPA and Sensible Colorado.
Herbal Synergy is a "for-patients, by-patients" group, known for its mobile capabilities and eco-friendly gas-chromatography, the official testing method of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime. Owner Charlie Steinberg said that the venture reflects Herbal Synergy's commitment to patients, by keeping growers and retailers accountable to a level of quality. He said that the two companies also plan to help patients inspect and rate the cannabis they purchase from other dispensaries, at local industry-only functions where on-site cannabis is permitted.
