Media Week online is joining the newly re-launched Brand Republic marcomms website
(1888PressRelease) April 06, 2007 - Media Week has long been regarded as the trade bible for industry agencies and media owners, and is one of the most exciting modern business magazines. As the premier business magazine for the commercial media industry, it reflects the incredibly fast-moving and diverse developments taking place across the TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, outdoor, digital sectors and in media agencies.
Previously a separate site, Media Week has now become a member of the Brand Republic (http://www.brandrepublic.com/ ) network which also includes content from Haymarket’s leading B2B websites such as Campaign (http://www.brandrepublic.com/campaign/), Marketing, Revolution, Marketing Direct, Promotions & Incentives and Direct Response.
The Media Week (http://www.brandrepublic.com/mediaweek/) website includes breaking news, in-depth features and analysis from leading industry figures such as Richard Eyre, details of key industry events such as Media 360 and the latest media jobs.
There is also a dedicated section on the Brand Republic site for MediaWeek.tv. MediaWeek.tv is the home of MediaWeek’s series of online web chats with media’s great and good, produced by Media Week in association with Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions.
Recent interviews include WPP’s chief executive, Sir Martin Sorrell.
The Web chats feature some of the highest-profile names in commercial media discussing the big issues of the day: from the future of traditional media channels in an increasingly convergent and digital world, to the evolving role of media agencies in the modern client mix.
Other shows to date have also included interviews with leading industry figures such as C4’s Andy Duncan and News International’s Mike Anderson.
With over 215,000* unique users a month, Brand Republic has long been building the reputation for being first for advertising, marketing, media and PR. The addition of Media Week to the Brand Republic family can only add to its size, range and stature.
As well as its acclaimed breaking news service, the new Brand Republic, offers its members the chance to have their say via forums and blogs written by opinion formers working in the worlds of advertising, media, PR and marketing. Users also get access to the UK’s leading marcomms job site.
Personalisation plays an important role too – through My Brand Republic (http://www.brandrepublic.com/MyBR/ ). After a quick registration, users can access the sites for free, and even build their own home page, with BR’s specialist news feeds as well as their own selected search engine and content from any area they choose, from sports news to weather forecasts, or current affairs.
A tailor-made profile allows them to make connections with their peers and colleagues. My Brand Republic allows marcomms professionals to build their own archive for future reference.
