Rutgers student-alumni hold a career speed networking event at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
- (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2013 - New Brunswick, NJ - To prepare for gainful employment post graduation, students at Rutgers University will have an opportunity to hone their interviewing and networking skills, begin building business contacts and lay the groundwork for future employment at one of the nation's largest alumni-student career speed networking events to be held Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 6:00 p.m. in New Brunswick.
Nearly 300 students will network with an equal number of alumni in a structured format that will allow the students to develop and strengthen their personal commercials, learn the art of self-promotion, practice interviewing and make impressions and connections that might lead to employment upon graduation.
The event is hosted by Rutgers Alumni Association in partnership with Rutgers University Career Services/Undergraduate Academic Affairs and co-sponsored by the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College and the Alumni Associations of Livingston, Cook, Graduate School of Education, University College NB, Graduate School NB, Rutgers Engineering Society and Rutgers Business School.

Background:
Alumni-Student Career Speed Networking Night is dedicated to providing support and networking opportunities to current Rutgers students before they graduate. Alumni from various career fields will interact with students during short "speed networking" intervals to provide career advice and networking tips and to help students become confident job-seekers. The evening also includes time for alumni-to-alumni networking.
