Meavision Media scores and wins an ITVA award with the DHL spot on Rugby World Cup 2011
Coveted silver ITVA award for the communication experts from Bonn, Germany
- (1888PressRelease) November 25, 2011 - BERLI - At the 19th annual award ceremony, the Integrated TV & Video Association (ITVA) has awarded the media agency Meavision Media GmbH from Bonn, Germany, with the official silver award pyramid. The glamorous prize was bestowed on the agency for the production of the official DHL advertising spot about the partnership with the Rugby World Cup 2011.
With this accolade, the team of Meavision Media continues its winning streak for corporate videos, and shows that producing successful commercial spots is not only reserved to the "media giants". The top-class ITVA jury regards the Rugby spot to be among the best productions of the year. In particular, the committee praises the innovative communications solution and the composition of real motion pictures in conjunction with animations.
The objective of the advertising spot is to showcase DHL´s know-how as the official logistics partner for the Rugby World Cup 2011 and to create a vivid connection between the global logistics company and the rough and tumble world of rugby. In order to achieve this aim, the crew of Meavision Media has further developed the leitmotif of the current DHL commercial campaign: In the spot, a powerful yellow light streak, the „speed of yellow", flies around the world´s biggest metropolitan cities. Within the prestigious rugby stadium of Auckland - the venue of the final game of the Rugby World Cup 2011 - the light streak transforms into a DHL courier. This single courier finds himself pitted against an entire rugby team but is able to score by means of the „speed of yellow".
The secret of the spot´s success is the bundling competences at Meavision Media: From the first storyboard, to the film shoot, to the extensive post production, everything derives from one source agency - now that´s fulfillment. A true passion for film production plays an important role in the result: „Our film shooting took place at night within the rugby stadium of the ´Düsseldorf Dragons´. It was truly a special experience for both the rugby players and our crew", reveals Elisabeth Decker, Managing Director of Meavision Media GmbH.
And the commitment was worth it. Almost 1.5 million fans have watched the spot live in the New Zealand rugby stadiums during the World Cup games; the spot is shown on television around the world, and is also well-received in social networks, for example on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EdvfnsBgd4
