Measurement Technology Via Network By bmcm At productronica 2011

Top Quote Maisach (Munich) / Germany. Measurement and control via LAN is the central theme of BMC Messsysteme GmbH at productronica 2011, the international trade fair for electronics production. The data logger LAN-AD16f from bmcm uses the advantages of the network and makes signal acquisition at many places and across great distances possible - synchronous to real-time and interference-free. • (1888PressRelease) November 05, 2011 - No doubt, the term "Network" resounds throughout the land nowadays. Whether social, global, local area, or private - the network is everywhere. And as if that were not enough: Also a manufacturer for measurement technology makes use of the network and has been doing this for more than a decade in constant development using latest technologies.

In fact, with the latest LAN data acquisition system BMC Messsysteme GmbH (bmcm) is taking a line almost unique in measurement technology. The LAN-AD16f measures and controls analog and digital signals precisely with 16-Bit accuracy. Due to 250kHz total sampling rate, it is also suitable for high-speed data acquisition and leading in its category.

Several devices can be installed at different measuring locations and sample in parallel even across great distances or, in the extreme case, worldwide. The data are brought together via network to a central PC/laptop. An already existing network can also be used.

If there is a breakdown in hall 1, a possible effect on the production process in hall 2 can easily be recognized by the measurement PC in the office.

To combine signals sent from different measuring positions, a common time relation is indispensable. Especially when using high sampling rates, data of different devices may easily diverge. Therefore, the LAN-AD16f is synchronous to real-time.

If it is not possible to install the PC close to the measuring point due to lots of dirt or danger, the measuring data can be transmitted via one shared network cable from many places - without annoying cable tangle, cost-saving, and noise-free.

To completely avoid inconvenient cabling, for example at moving or rotating platforms, wireless data transmission via WLAN can also be realized.

At this point, the list of advantages about measurement and control via network is by far not at an end. At this year's productronica 2011 from November 15 to 18 in Munich, BMC Messsysteme GmbH (bmcm) will present the new LAN data logger in hall A1, stand 266.

A free online ticket for the trade fair is available on the bmcm website to interested parties as well as detailed information about the LAN-AD16f and other products of data acquisition, signal conditioning, and processing of measured data.
