MD Political Candidates To Bring Statewide Races To Harford County Gala To Vie For Voter Support In MD 2010 Election
Vote The Power! Campaign, Voters and Maryland Candidates to Convene at Statewide Black and White Gala in Harford County, MD.
- Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) August 02, 2010 - Harford County, MD based non-profit, The GrassRoots Steering Foundation, Inc. and the Vote The Power! campaign, will present its 2010 MD Campaign Black and White Summer Gala on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Clarion Hotel, Crystal Ballroom in Aberdeen, MD. Time of event is 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Harford County will be the gathering place where political candidates, and representatives of political parties from across Maryland will convene with citizens to reinforce the power of the citizen vote. Harford County residents along with citizens of various Maryland counties will gather for an evening of information. Harford County's statewide political influence is recognized throughout Maryland by the elections of Harford County Executive David Craig and Aberdeen Mayor Michael Bennett to assume the positions of President of the MD Association of Counties, and President of the Maryland Municipal League.
Attendees at this year's gala will discuss issues and hear campaign platforms of political contenders vying for Maryland Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, State Senator, State Delegate, Sheriff, County Council, County Executive, County Council and Harford County Elected School Board positions. Representation from the Harford County Route 40 Club, The Libertarian Party of Maryland and The Constitution Party of Maryland have been solidly confirmed. The Vote The Power! campaign utilizes the gala as a way to bring the candidates to the voters. The gala is a unique opportunity to encourage civic engagement, and collective participation by community members to work in conjunction with elected officials to improve local communities and the quality of life. At the event, voters have an opportunity to talk with candidates and ask questions, gather campaign information and inquire about volunteer or membership opportunities with various political parties. Special Guest for the evening is Mr. Charles Robinson, Journalist for television show "State Circle" which airs on Maryland Public Television.
