McManis Faulkner's Neda Mansoorian Honored as Next Generation Law Firm Leader
Leading San Jose Law Firm's Chief Legal Officer Among Only Ten California Attorneys Earning Daily Journal Distinction.
- San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) March 28, 2013 - Neda Mansoorian, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and partner at McManis Faulkner, was honored as one of the ten "Next Generation Law Firm Leaders" in California by the Daily Journal. The honorees were chosen based on demonstration of great law firm management potential at an early point in their careers.
"In a knowledge- and judgment-based business like law, leadership ability is a critical component for long-term success. Neda has proven herself to be a firm leader and a major proponent of women leaders within the legal industry. We couldn't be more pleased to see her dedication, commitment and influence recognized by the legal community," said James McManis, head of the firm.
As one of the first law firm CLOs, Mansoorian is putting corporate project management principles to work within the legal environment, using her extensive trial and business experience to work across multiple client service teams and cases. Changing the traditional way law firms work with clients and manage their litigation, Mansoorian is dedicated to maximizing client value and leveraging firm resources, including both senior and junior attorneys, to help achieve each client's business goals.
In her practice, Mansoorian emphasizes high-technology litigation and pre-litigation negotiation, as well as matters involving professional negligence, products liability and general negligence, high-asset marital dissolutions, employer liability, wrongful termination, real estate disputes and breach of contract, among others. She has tried cases before juries and judges and has expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
In addition to her firm leadership, Mansoorian was recently named the 2012-2013 president-elect of California Women Lawyers (CWL), the state's only bar association dedicated to the advancement of women in the law. In addition, she has chaired the education subcommittee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Diversity Committee and is a past president of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Women Lawyers Section. Mansoorian is also a member of the AAJ (Women Trial Lawyers Caucus and Mentor Program) and the President's Blue Ribbon Commission on Diversity.
Mansoorian earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (1999) and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley (1994).
