McManis Faulkner Partners Named to Northern California Super Lawyers
McManis Faulkner partners James McManis, William Faulkner and Neda Mansoorian have been named to the Northern California Super Lawyers 2014 Edition.

Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers, from more than 70 practice areas, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that may be used as a resource to assist in the search for legal counsel.
A member of the trial bar for more than 40 years, McManis prepares and presents cases for adjudication in the commercial, trade secrets and intellectual property arenas. He also represents individuals in a wide variety of matters, including civil rights actions, employment disputes, family law and criminal defense. McManis is an honorary bencher of the Honorable Society of King's Inns, the oldest institution of legal education in Ireland. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Academy of Court Appointed Masters, American College of Trial Lawyers, Litigation Counsel of America, American Bar Foundation and International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
McManis has been named to the Northern California Super Lawyers every year since 2004. He served on the faculty of the Intensive Advocacy Program of the University of San Francisco Law School, the Advocacy Skills Workshop at Stanford University Law School and was a lecturer at Boalt Hall, University of California (Berkeley Law). In addition, he served as Special Master for the Santa Clara County Superior Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in the Technical Equities cases, described as involving the largest securities fraud in California history. McManis earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (1967) and his B.A. in History, with Distinction, Phi Beta Kappa, from Stanford University (1964).
A seasoned trial lawyer with significant experience in both state and federal courts in Santa Clara County, Faulkner represents businesses and individuals in complex civil litigation. In addition, he works with individuals and families in cases involving will contests, trust disputes and related issues. Faulkner is often called into family law matters when specific trial expertise is required and business concerns are involved. He also assists clients in transactional and contractual matters.
Faulkner was included in Northern California Super Lawyers in 2004 and from 2006 to present. He serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court in settlement conferences, as an Early Neutral Evaluator for the U.S. District Court and as a private mediator and arbitrator. A Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, Faulkner is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association. He has long been a trustee and officer of the San Jose Museum of Art and for 20 years served as the managing attorney for the Legal Counseling Office, Associated Students of Stanford University. Faulkner received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1978) and his B.A. from Stanford University (1973).

In her practice, Mansoorian emphasizes high-technology litigation and pre-litigation negotiation, as well as matters involving professional negligence, products liability and general negligence, high-asset marital dissolutions, employer liability, wrongful termination, real estate disputes and breach of contract cases, among others. She has tried cases before juries and judges and has expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Mansoorian earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (1999) and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley (1994).
