McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing Attorneys Honored Among Top Young Texas Lawyers
Four attorneys from McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing have been selected among the 2012 Texas Rising Stars listing, honoring the state's top young lawyers.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) March 28, 2012 - The Family Law firm of McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, LLP, is proud to announce that four attorneys from the firm's Dallas and San Antonio offices have earned selections to the 2012 Texas Rising Stars listing of the state's top young lawyers.
For the third consecutive year, Dallas associates Monica Cruz and Stephen Orsinger and San Antonio associate R. Porter Corrigan have been recognized among the up-and-coming Texas attorneys age 40 or younger, or who have been in practice for fewer than 10 years. Joining them on the exclusive list for the first time is Dallas associate Ryan Kirkham. All four attorneys represent clients in a wide range of Family Law and appellate cases.
In order to earn selection to the Texas Rising Stars listing, attorneys were nominated by other lawyers from across the state, with fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state chosen for this honor. The complete 2012 Texas Rising Stars list is featured in the April issue of Texas Monthly magazine.
Ms. Cruz provides represents clients in cases involving children's issues, including custody and support disputes. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas District 1 Grievance Committee. She earned her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2006 and her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in 1999.
Mr. Corrigan represents clients in Family Law matters at both the trial court and appellate levels. He earned his law degree in 2007 from St. Mary's University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 2002.
Mr. Kirkham provides clients with expertise in international Family Law issues, including divorce, jurisdictional issues, asset-tracing and complex property disputes. He graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2009 after obtaining his undergraduate degree in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin.
Mr. Orsinger handles marital property issues stemming from estates of all sizes. In addition to his courtroom work, he also regularly represents clients in appellate proceedings pending before various state appellate courts and the Supreme Court of Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2007 after earning his undergraduate degree from St. John's College in Santa Fe, N.M.
