McCurley Orsinger Lawyers Earn Top Honors from Texas Super Lawyers, Worth and Texas Lawyer
Top family lawyers from Texas earn recognition from multiple legal and business publications.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) September 11, 2010 - The family law firm of McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, L.L.P., is pleased to announce a host of recent recognitions for its attorneys: founder and name partner Mike McCurley was named one of the country's Top 100 Attorneys in Worth magazine, seven of the firm's lawyers have been named to the 2010 Texas Super Lawyers list, and Mike McCurley and Richard Orsinger were singled out as the state's best family lawyers in Texas Lawyer's Go-To Guide.
Texas Super Lawyers is published in the October 2010 issue of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Super Lawyers magazine, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Thomson Reuters, Legal Division. Once again, partners Mike McCurley, Richard R. Orsinger, Mary Johanna McCurley, Keith M. Nelson, R. Scott Downing and John E. Alexander III, and associate Brad M. LaMorgese, are included on the annual listing of the premier attorneys in Texas. Fewer than 5 percent of the state's lawyers make the Texas Super Lawyers list.
Along with being named to the Texas Super Lawyers list, many of the firm's attorneys also are singled out for additional recognition. Mr. Orsinger is named one of the Top 10 attorneys in Texas, Top 100 in Texas, and Top 50 in Central/West Texas. Mr. McCurley, Mr. Downing and Ms. McCurley were included in the list of the Top 100 attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth, and Ms. McCurley also was named as one of the Top 50 Female Attorneys in the state.
The Texas Super Lawyers list is compiled after a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check. The Worth magazine list recognized the nation's top attorneys specializing in trust and estates, philanthropy, elder care, matrimonial and other private practice areas. Mr. McCurley was the only Dallas attorney to be featured, and one of only five attorneys from Texas on the list.
Mr. McCurley and Mr. Orsinger were also both recognized for their expertise in Texas Lawyer's Go-To Guide, which ranked the state's best lawyers in several practice areas.
