MBAF's Ron Finkelstein Speaks on Healthcare Practice Improvements
MBAF's Finkelstein has received the South Florida Business Journal's Excellence in Accounting Award for Healthcare in addition to the Key Partners Award.

He was the only Certified Public Accountant (CPA) on the panel discussing strategic options and performance improvement insights for medical groups. The event provided growth strategies for physician group practices and touched on the Accountable Care Organization trend, among other strategic growth topics.
Finkelstein spoke on healthcare practices and the challenges they are currently facing, such as rising expenses, declining reimbursement as well as optimizing business processes and performance improvement tips that would affect practices the most.
Finkelstein is an authority on various healthcare issues and has presented to medical group administrators, accountants and CFO's at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) National Healthcare Industry Conference on Medicare reimbursement, billing and collection best practices, financial reporting and benchmarking, Stark law compliant compensation arrangements, current trends in physician mergers and acquisitions and tax planning matters. He has also received the South Florida Business Journal's Excellence in Accounting Award for Healthcare in addition to the Key Partners Award.
Finkelstein is a past member of the AICPA National Healthcare Industry Conference Steering Committee and the Health Care Industry Committee of FICPA. He also served as president of the National CPA Health Care Advisor's Association, and editor of Practice Management Advisory. He is a member of key professional organizations including the AICPA, the FICPA, American Health Lawyers Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and Medical Group Management Association.
